Halloween at Aron's

This year Savannah and I stayed at Aron's house for Halloween night. We all went to a pumpkin patch and got a pumpkin for carving. Savvy found a squash, that she thought was a baby pumpkin, and feel in love with it.

Savannah loved jumping in the bounce house. Aron got some great shots of her catching air.

Savannah had so much fun trick or treating. It was fun that she really understood the concept of asking for treats. She went with me for a while and then went with Aron. She was pooped by the end of the night.

Aron's Halloween Party

Brian, Savannah and I went to Aron's annual Halloween party. He goes all out on decorating. His entire backyard is over the top with scary decorations. The inside is completely done up with blood covered wall paper. We danced all night and had the best time.

Stephanie and Jaydon flew into town for the party. They were Louise and Baby Stewie, Aron was Dexter (he looks so much like him it's creepy), Brian was a character from the play Cats (which he has never seen by the way), Savvy was a peacock, and I was just a Greek goddess.

Aron set up this photo backdrop for everyone to take picture in their costumes. It really added to fun party atmosphere. Brian wouldn't let me post the pictures of him in front of the zombie... something to do with his tights :)

Savannah collected all the pumpkins around the house and put them together by the TV. She called it her pumpkin patch. I would put them all back after she went to bed and the next day she would put them back together.

My parents were able to attend Grandparents Day at her school. Savannah had such a good time that she cried for the rest of the day when they left.

Grandma Jane gave this to Savvy for Christmas. It was too cold to play with it outside so we brought inside for playtime.

Pumpkin Cookies

I love baking sweet treats and have been experimenting with new cookie recipes. I developed on I love- the pumpkin pie cookie. They are thick, moist and delicious. However, watch out, they will keep you regular ;)

I tried it with cream cheese frosting and with powered sugar. I finally just made royal icing with cream cheese and spices. It's just enough sweet.

Jacquie and Ryan's Wedding

Jacquie and Ryan's Wedding was back in July. It was in Carlsbad and was absolutely gorgeous. We had so much fun seeing our friends. An old friend, Victoria, is dating J-stew (Jason) from some sports radio show that is really popular. He was at our table and Brian had an amazing time. They hung out most of the night.
