Christmas Morning

Santa brought Savannah a pink tri-cycle with a BIG red bow. We had Savannah stay in her bedroom with Brian until Gammy, Papa and Uncle Matt could come over. When she came out she saw all the gifts and then saw everyone. She immediately started crying and ran back in her room. After awhile she realized it was all ok. Then she really got into opening gifts and asking for more presents. I really tried to make happy "OOOOO, wow, what is it, just what you always wanted" exclamations to really get her excited. After 4 or 5 presents she would tear the paper just a little and start saying "OOOOOOO" before she even saw the toy. It was very cute.

Gammy and Papa got her a Tiger that she can sit on, a pink cowgirl hat and pink cowgirl boots. Uncle Peter sent a baby doll with accessories. Uncle Matt got her an easel with a chalk board/White board with magnetic letters. Here cousins got them earlier and she really liked it. Matt and I quickly put it together before Savannah came out and put a big sheet over it so she could just pull it off. She immediately recognized it and said, "ABCs!!" and started putting on the letters.
The pajamas she was wearing on Christmas morning was given to her by my Aunt Caroline. They are special because they matched all my cousin's kids pajamas. Every year they wear matching pjs by from Grandma Silly (my Auntie).

Auntie Steph sent a Minnie Mouse that Savannah LOVED. Her old babysitter gave her the Mickey one so she has a set now.
After each present she wanted to keep getting back on her tiger.

This was the Christmas GAK that my Mother-in-law Jane makes. It's really called Dutch Babies but it was given that name a long time ago and it just stuck. It was my first year trying to make it, and it reminded us of a Seattle Christmas.
After opening presents all morning and eating a delicious breakfast Savannah fell asleep right away. Her nap ended up being 3 hours. All the excitement really pooped her out.

Christmas Eve Night

My Dad picked up a Christmas outfit for Savannah and she loved it. She kept pointing to her belt saying, "Santa!".

Savannah has been doing such a great job with speaking. She now can say, "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!"

The Jingle Bells that Savannah is holding has a great story. Once I get the photos from Lisa I am going to post about it.

Christmas Eve night we all sat in the drive way and watched the cars drive around the neighborhood looking at all the beautiful lights in the area. We had a fire pit, at dinner and enjoyed passing out candy to people walking by. Mark and Brian worked on this incredible sled that was strung from a tall tree over to the roof across the street. It was powered by the a bike that the kids peddled below the big tree.

Christmas Dresses

Savannah has such beautiful dresses (thanks Gammy) and I couldn't wait until Christmas season came so she could wear all of her red/green/black/Scottie dog stuff.

Such a snuggle Bug

Michael Buble

My Mom bought tickets for Michael Buble but my Dad wasn't able to go with her. So, I was able to take his ticket. Mom and I got all dressed up, went to a nice dinner and had great tickets. I love Michael Buble- he is so sexy. It was a great performance. He is an incredible singer and dancer. He also is very sincere when talking to the audience.

Pretend City Again...

On Thursday we started the Christmas Festivities with a trip to Pretend City. Everyone went, including Matt, his girlfriend and her two cute daughters.

Savannah loves the Farmer section and the beach area. Although she is SUPER girlie (she even started crossing her legs) she likes playing in dirt, sand and water when ever possible.

The Rockettes

Peter and my Mom were able to get REALLY awesome seats to see the Rockettes at the Honda Center. I have always wanted to go to New York in December to see the Rockettes at the Radio City Music Hall, but they also have a mini-show that travels around. It was an incredible experience. I love the high kicks.

Since Lisa has moved in to my Aunt's house for the past couple months we spend SO much time together and I love it. We get to see each other's kids, go on outings and Lisa even watches Savannah on Fridays. It's a great opportunity for us to grow closer.

Side Note: I almost broke my Aunt while pushing her in her wheel chair when I hit the curb. Since she doesn't have the ability to hold on she just started falling forward. Thankfully Lisa was there to catch her. My heart was beating a million miles an hour and they all still joke about it!

Savannah loves hats

Savannah loves wearing hats. I have been starting to look for stores that sell cute-hand made ones, but they are really hard to find. There is one at the Orange Circle, but they only carry white.

Savannah's New Hair Do

We have never cut Savannah's hair and it's starting to really get long. I have been putting it in pig tails or a pony tail but I have been really excited to put it into little bulbs. I saw my sister-in-laws do this on Kaylee and Whitney and I thought it was so adorable- now Savannah has them too!

Our Target Shopping Trips

Each Tuesday or Thursday when I pick Savannah up from school we go to Target. I will say, "Savannah want to go shopping?" and she replies, "SHOPPING!... Popcorn, Water?" We get a bag of popcorn and walk around the entire store". I look all kinds of items and show them to Savannah and talk to her about how it works or what it does. We also play cart games- where I push her away and then pull in the cart and give her big kisses.
