Last night we went Christmas Tree shopping. This year the tree lot was located in Burlington Coat Factory's parking lot (walking distance). It's been pretty cold lately so we bundled up. Savannah LOVED wearing a hat. She has a huge smile on the entire time she wore it. When we got to the tree lot Savannah was so excited she kept running around touching and smelling the trees. We picked out a nice 7 ft. tree and saved money by bringing our own stand (last year we purchased a nice one so we don't have to pay for the temporary stand each year). We also saved a little be not loading it on a car but rather Brian carrying it ALL the way home. NO JOKE. I was so impressed I had to take pictures.

Christmas tree day is a big day for us because I absolutely LOVE decorating for Christmas. I spend hours making it the PERFECT tree. I use white twinkle lights, red and pearl round bulb lights, large and small red/white poinsettia flowers, large burlap ribbon, my special ornaments that I have collected or have been given for the past 6-7 years, cranberries, gold sparkle leaves, etc. This year I added a couple red hydrangeas as filler. It is truly a process. I feel the photo below doesn't capture the beauty of it all.
This is the first year in since 2002 that I will be in my own home for Christmas Day. I am excited to see my very own Christmas tree when we wake up on Christmas.
