Thanksgiving Day

Today, we started a NEW Thanksgiving Tradition; we are going to run a 5k every Thanksgiving Morning. I was pretty proud of myself that I actually 'ran' the entire course without walking once. I put 'ran' in parentheses because I am really slow. It is more of a jog. I finished in 36 minutes and 56 seconds. My goal was less than 30 minutes, but without the treadmill setting the pace at a 6.0 speed it seemed impossible. Brian finished in 31 minutes and 10 seconds. At the beginning of the race he got really caught up with the 'professional runners' so he kind of burnt out early. We are going to plan to do a k5 every other month. Our ultimate goal is to complete a half Marathon. Yes, I said HALF. I am just being realistic.

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

What a great tradition to start and what a great way to start the day. Then you wont feel so guilty about eating the feast.
