First Day in Nursery

Another SUPER CUTE and FANCY church dress. We saved this one for a very special day at church. It was Savannah's FIRST DAY going to nursery.

Growing up my Mom made the first day of school very special. She always took a photo and video tape her asking us the same classes. I want to continue this tradition.

She did so well on her first day. She didn't even cry. I think it really helped that the nursery leader is our great Friend Sister Wold. Savannah feels really comfortable since we hang out with her and her daughter Anna often.

Brian found a Minnie Mouse for Savannah and I think it really helped her get used to being in there without us.

When we were at home Brian started singing the Mickey Mouse Club song Hot Dog, Hot Dog. She loves it and always starts dancing. Then she gets up and leans right, left, right, left. It is adorable!

Savannah and Monkey: Best Friends

Savannah loves her monkey. It was given to her by our friends Jacquie and Ryan on her first birthday. She calls it MeMe. When we were at the mall a month ago we lost it. All she said on the ride home was, "Mememememememememememem". I had to ask Jacquie where she got it so we could get another one. We were able to get two. The other one is in our storage just in case we loose MeMe again.

She is such a little model.

We have been practicing folding our arms and being reverent during prayers. She really has got it the folding arms part down, but when it's time to say Amen she shouts, "MEN!".

Primary

I was called as the First Counselor for Primary at our ward. I love working with the children. For a while Savannah was too young to go to Nursery, but Brian was teaching Sunday school to the 12-14 year olds. So Savannah would play in the back of the room while the primary kids had sharing time. As she got closer to 18 months she started to get very brave and try to play with the primary children. She would wave to them and say, "Hi!"

Each Sunday Savannah has the most beautiful dress on. These all came from Grandpa Pam. It really makes getting ready for church such a fun activity. A dressed up little girl is absolutely adorable.

Palm Springs

This summer we made it out to Palm Spring a couple times, but there were very short trips. Usually we took multiple bags of laundry to wash. Once we took 12 bags (they were small kitchen sized bags though). Savannah is so good on car trips. She usually falls asleep for an hour or so and the rest of the time she plays with her toys. When every I turn around she will shoot me big smiles.

We love going to Palm Springs. My parents love spending time with Savannah and my mom is an excellent cook. The weather was so nice all the way until June this year.
I love the drive to Palm Springs. Brian and I usually listen to a book that we got on iTunes and talk about how great life will be when school is all over. My favorite part of the trip is going through Windmill Land. I have a fun ritual that every time we pass the last windmill that I call my Dad. He always gets so excited and say, "Alright!". It makes me feel really special. My Dad is the greatest.

Angels Game Suite

The Bank of American Grant is the grant that keeps on giving. They invited CCCS-OC to accept another award, but this time on the field of Edison field during the pre-game portion. Brian and I were able to sit in a dug out suite during the game. It was so nice, so close and so cool. The food was really good and it was crazy actually sitting below ground level. To even get there we had to take an elevator down and walk through a high security lobby. It was a really awesome memory.

Aron's Birthday

In June we were able to convince Aron to drive down to Southern California for a fun birthday weekend. We saw a movie, went to Don Jose for cheesy Mexican food, went to Disneyland thanks to a very awesome member of our ward, drove to the beach and just hung out.

Bad hair day

Savannah used to get the CRAZIEST bed head. It was when her hair was just long enough to get really tangled. Our morning routine is Breakfast then bath, but I would always try to pin down the front with a clip so she could see what she was eating!

Gymboree

I signed Savannah up for Gymboree. I wanted to the Fullerton City program but it wasn't at a time we had available. I now work from home on Wednesdays, but I try to only work when she is napping or after she goes to bed.

Here are some pictures of her at Gymboree. She is very timid about playing with the other children and climbing the obstacle courses they make. I think she will get used to it after she gets more comfortable with her balance.

Catch Up!

I love blogging, but life got so crazy the last couple months that I had zero time to do anything. Brian was going to school 6 days a week, I was going to school one day a week, Brian worked in the ealry mornings or late nights, and my work schedule changed to 9-6. It was crazy. Sometimes while at work or late at night I would calculate how often Brian and I saw each other. At the absolute worst I realized that four days in a row Brian and I only saw each other for 15 minutes a day!

So many things have happened in the last two months, and I can't wait to play catch up in my blog journal.

We have a babysitter that absolutely LOVES Savannah and Savannah loves her. When things were SO crazy it was really nice to know that she was in good hands.

Right now I can't stop thinking about my friend Bekka. My BEST FRIEND Bekka is moving to Ladera Ranch. She used to live 3 minutes from us and now will live 30 minutes away. However, Ladera Ranch is my dream city to live in so it is only a matter of time until we are their neighbors again. Brian keeps telling me that we probably will see them more now since we have to make more of an effort to plan visits. I sure hope so!

Here are some adorable photos of Savannah picking flowers. She is getting so big. I am so blessed to have such a wonderfully sweet little girl.
